Home Inventory: terms of service

Last updated 7 October 2026.

Home Inventory is a free app for tracking food and household supplies, run by Sagar Pandit as a personal project. By using it you agree to these terms.

Using the app

You may use the app for your own household. You need a Google account, and Google's own terms apply to it. Don't use the app to store sensitive information such as health, financial, or work records; it is meant for groceries and household supplies.

Your data

Your inventory belongs to you. It is kept in a Google Sheet in your Google Drive and on your device, as the privacy policy describes. You are responsible for your Google account and for who you share your inventory with. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose: Google Sheets' version history and Google Drive downloads both work for this.

No warranty

The app is provided free and "as is", without any warranty. It may have bugs, may be unavailable at times, and may change or stop at any time. Prices, dates, and product names it shows, including names looked up from Open Food Facts, may be wrong; check them before relying on them.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, the app's owner is not liable for any loss or damage from using or not being able to use the app, including lost or incorrect data.

Changes

These terms may change. If they do, the date at the top changes too, and using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
